| Once the client is installed on a system, it will update the inventory snapshot on a daily basis automatically, or at a predefined time. Inventory snapshots can also be initiated manually by using the standalone client, where after the data can be imported into the database. Once the iSafe server has detected a change between the old and new snapshots, the administrator will be notified. |

| The iSafe client uses an intelligent, non-obtrusive scanning algorithm to extract a complete hardware snapshot of the device. The information snapshot contains unique information such as physical & logical CPU count, number of hard disk drives installed, and much more. Other value added services can now be derived from this information, such as matching serial numbers to leased devices, or planning for the Windows Vista upgrade. |

| The software recognition engine is able to recognize more than 16000 different software suites automatically. The customer can also add their own in-house software to this library for recognition. A separate Microsoft detection module adds the ability to distinguish between the difference suites, for example, Project 2003 standard vs. Project 2003 Professional.
